THE PERSON BEHIND THE POSTS

About me

Macjam’s profile picture

Hi, I’m Mac.

British developer, digital artist, and tinkerer who gets interested in too many things at once. I run Quantum Dot Games, where I make games, software, mods, 3D art, and whatever else seems like a good idea.

I’m interested in technology, AI, gaming, virtual worlds, and figuring out how things work. I don’t go looking for politics, but it has an annoying habit of giving me reasons to pay attention.

Macjam’s Uplink is my little corner for sharing some of that. Thoughts, opinions, observations, and the occasional lengthy ramble about something that’s caught my attention. Nothing formal, just me putting things out into the world.

A small privacy note

No accounts, comment threads, advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

Likes: pressing the heart saves a random first-party cookie so this browser can remember and undo its like for up to a year. Clearing cookies or changing browsers can permit another like. This is not a verified person count.

Views: approximate article visits, recorded after eight continuously visible seconds. A random session receipt avoids counting reloads again in the same tab session. This is not a count of unique readers or proof that someone read the whole post.

Abuse prevention: the server uses a short-lived keyed hash of a network address to limit rapid requests. It does not store raw addresses in the blog database. Rate-limit records expire after an hour; view receipts are removed after 30 days.

The hosting provider may process request logs separately. External source links and sharing services have their own privacy practices.

Pass the thought on.
